Spring has finally arrived (it comes late in NH) and we are enjoying every minute of it. Since our last blog, the Easter Bunny found me on vacation at my Por-Por and Goong's house in California, I got a new (temporary) pal at DAO Pals, I have been having a lot of fun at our local playgrounds, and we had a really fun weekend to celebrate "my mama".
How does the Easter Bunny know when you are on vacation?
I was so excited about seeing my family again in CA. Everybody said that I had grown a lot since Christmas, getting taller, thinner and more talkative. We were lucky that my great-great-maternal aunt ((my por-por's aunt), Auntie Phoebe, had her 90th birthday so we got to go to her big Long Life birthday banquet. I ate well through the 3rd course (loved those honey glazed prawns!), slept at the table through courses 4 through 9, then woke back up in good spirits to finish off with the longevity noodles and birthday cake! Yum, I like a chinese banquet. Happy birthday, Auntie.
I get to play with my BFF, Uncle Edwin
Though I was skeptical he would be able to find me at por-por's house, I was still excited to leave out apple slices for the Easter Bunny.
But, surprise, he found me, ate some of the apples and left me a basket with lots of goodies.
Our whole family came over and we had a lot of fun, yummy food, and an Easter egg hunt with my cousin Jaden. Jaden is a good crawler now and mommy tells me he will probably be chasing me around Por-Por Goong's house when we go back at Christmas. I can't wait!
Here are some more pictures from our fun vacation. Thanks, family, for such a wonderful time.
Does the joy show?
Flo's abroad this semester, I get a new (temporary) pal
My big DAO (Dartmouth Asian Organization) Pal, Flo, is studying abroad in Barcelona this term, so I have a new pal to keep me company. Her name is Sarah and she is very nice. We've had fun at a couple of DAO events so far where we made chinese character pictures and fresh spring rolls and just general running around and having a gay ole time! Good things our pals are young and don't tire easy.....
Playground fun
While I really did start to get used to the snow this winter, it didn't take long for me to start to enjoy the warmer weather and play (without freezing) outside. We've been hitting a few playgrounds and I am getting quite good at climbing and fearlessly going down curvy and tall slides. Take a look at the playground fun I've been having.....
I kick back as daddy drives me to the park....
Run, run, run....so much fun, fun, fun!
Happy mother's day!
We showed mommy how much we love her by giving her some personal time for a manicure, pedicure and "unfettered shopping", taking her out to her favorite restaurants and giving her a great big Elmo card (guess who picked out the card). Oh, and lots of hugs and kisses too. Mommy cried (she's an easy cryer) when she saw that I signed the card by myself with a beautifully written "H". Here are some pictures of my mommy's 2nd mother's day. I love you, mommy!
Do we have the exact same smile or what?
