Oh boy, me, mama and dada have had a busy month! Mama asked me to tell you she was sorry it's been such a long time between blog posts.
So, where do I begin? I never got to tell you about my wonderful Easter vacation in California. going to the park, starting up DAO pals again, and trying on our spring hats! So many things that I love! I love....
...my trips to California
I didn't think it could get much better than visiting and playing with my family almost 24/7, Chow Macaroni (a stir fry macaroni dish with a Chinese twist!) and the California weather (perfect!), but then I learn about this thing called the Easter Bunny???!!? Wow, what a time we had over Easter vacation. Here are a few of my favorite shots to help me remember our wonderful trip.
I discover the generosity of the Easter Bunny.
Me and my BFF (Best Friends Forever) Uncle Eddy.
... going to the fun parks near our house.
Now that spring has finally sprung here, we've been doing a lot of playing outside. My favorite things to do at the playground are the slide, playing with the ground cover and playing with the music notes. Dada captured some pictures of my favorite things.....
..."goin' with the Flo"!
The Dartmouth College spring semester started and, lucky for me, that means that the DAO Big Pal started up again too! I look forward to the Sunday afternoons with Flo and all the other students. Last week we learned about the Dragon Boat festival (hey Shelly Dai-Dai, are you hearing this??), made a dragon boat on a stick and made yummy scallion cakes. Here's a picture of me and Flo - - isn't she pretty?
...hats, just like my mama!
It's fun to trade the fleece and fur hats for straw! Mama has a lot of straw hats and we played one morning trying on some of them (even Dada!). Here's some pics of me in one of my favorites.
...life, ain't it grand?
At the end of a hard day of playing, there's nothing better than a body dive into chocolate pudding. Ahhhhhh, life is wonderful!
This Sunday is me and mama's first mother's day, so watch for a blog about that special event. And at the end of May, it will be our one year anniverary of our Gotcha Day, the day that forever changed all of our lives. Mama will sure to do a blog post for that.
I'm doing good and starting to say more words, even though my mama has a knack for understanding my pointing, grunts and babbling. Thanks for watching my blog...more to come.
Love,
Hui-Hui (and Mama & Dada too)

Hi Hui-Hui - Thanks for the blog entry. I love to read your blog. Looks like you are having a great time going to the park (love the picture of you singing your heart out). We miss you so much. Maybe when you come to California we can go and see some REAL dragon boats (although no one will be paddling on one this year). We are going to try to find some parks in Las Vegas but we will have to go early before it gets to be 120 degrees in the afternoon. Can't wait to see you again.
Love,
Auntie Sharon
P.S. Can't make any comment about the chocolate pudding except you look like you are having a GRAND time eating(?) it.
Hi Hui-Hui! (and Mama & Dada, too!)
Looks like you still enjoy eating chocolate pudding...with your hands! Or are you experimenting with pudding-as-body-paint???? Whatever...It DOES loook like you're having FUN!!
Have fun celebrating your Mama on your very first Mama's Day!!!
Looking forward to seeing you in Vegas, Baby!
Love,
uncle eddie, your BFF (thanks for posting that pic of us in coolness shades)
Hi Hui-hui! That's so exciting that you are learning about dragonboats!!! Maybe if you are out here in August or the first weekend of October, you can come to the BIG dragonboat festival :) OR...even better, there is the first annual dragonboat festival at DISNEYWORLD in October too! that would be fun!
Thanks for sharing the fun pictures - you are growing up so fast!! When your baby cousin comes, please don't share your chocolate pudding tactics with him - ha ha ha ha!
see you soon!! Keep up the blog posts!
