The last couple of months have been busy and full of new adventures for me. A holiday trip to California, my first Christmas, snow, baking, and parades. Mama and dada have taken about, say, a thousand pictures of me (for real), but here are a few of our favorites from the holidays.
Holiday Baking - I love baking (and eating)the goodies!
Mama and I had fun baking during the holiday season. Here are some shots of us making cupcakes. I was a little tentative at first, but then I got into it, and oh boy, after I tasted them, I was hooked! Yum, yum!"They may not look so good but they sure are delicious!"
My first snow!
We've had a lot of snow this winter and I got my first snow day in early December. It took longer to get me dressed in all this garb then we played outside (how many layers do I have to wear, mama??), but once I got dressed, dada made a little run down part of our backyard and I went wee, wee, wee down on my saucer. The hot chocolate was fun when we came inside, too.A nice visit with Dia-Ma on a sunny San Francisco day.
One of my most important visits during my Christmas vacation in California was visiting my Dia-Ma. The weather was beautiful, as my Goong-Goong says it always is in California (!), so we got to sit outside in the garden at the nursing home. Here's a picture of me and Dia-Ma together; we sure had a good time.
My first Christmas
Uh, what is this all about? Well, whatever it is, it sure is fun! I was showered with lots of love, lots of gifts, and lots and lots (and lots) of attention from my family. We celebrated for what seemed like days but I hung in there the whole time. Here are some shots of Christmas Eve. We went until 11:00 and I was still going strong!

I really start swingin' after 9:00pm!
Visiting Friends
Visiting Friends
I got to meet some of my mama and dada's special friends during our time in CA. Here are a couple of shots of our visits.
I got my very own purse from mama and dada's very good friend, Sylvia. Lipstick, mirror, cell phone and debit card included! Thanks, Aunt Sylvia!I love a parade!
The only thing better than being in a musical parade is having all of my family being in a parade with me! I played parade with all of my musical instruments and all of my family every single day I was in California. Then, once I got home, Por-Por and Goong-Goong sent me a surprise package with all the musical instruments in it. Now I get to have parades all the time! Da-da-da-daaaaaaah!

We enjoyed the fresh fruit (me) and strong coffee (dada) at Royal Ground, our favorite coffee shop in Montclair.
Here is a shot of me after eating a big bowl of fresh fruit. Ahhhhh, they don't have fruit like this back home!
We will never forget Grandpa.......
The holidays were bittersweet with the loss of both my Grandma and Grandpa Johnson this year. I was lucky to have gotten to know Grandpa when he lived with us for these last few months. Mama, Dada and I will always remember the time we were able to have together. Here's a favorite shot of Grandpa and me in the first few days he lived with us.

We'll try not to go another 2 months before blogging again! In the next couple of weeks we've got a lot of events coming up: Chinese New Year parties with the Families with Children from China, the Dartmouth Asian Organization and the local chinese group, plus a playdate with Emma and the start of a new music class. Keep your eye out for more blog reports!
Thanks so much watching.

Love you all,
Hui-Hui (and mama and dada too)
