Making up for lost time....

Well, I've done it again. So much time has gone by since I last posted.  I've been busy! Since my last post, I have turned 6, hit my 100 days in kindergarten, hosted my family here for a fall vacation, been on 2 vacations (one to CA, one to Mexico) and learned to read and write.  I am keeping a journal in school and thought I'd catch you up by sharing a few pages.

I love kindergarten! Our teachers, Ms. Coolidge and Mrs. Thornton, are kind and teach us lots of interesting things. I have PE, Art and Music each week. And sometimes I get to stay for "Big Kids Program" after school. One of the first days I got to stay for Big Kids, I was running really fast and I had a big fall. Ouch, I really hurt my knee. I wrote about this in my journal, and told my friends all about the emergency room at the hospital. No fun, but interesting. I asked the doctor a lot of questions.

In the fall, we had a field trip going apple picking. Then we pressed the apples to make cider and apple pies, and we sold them to raise money for our school. We had A great time and the cider was super yummy!  And being out in the cool fall air is one of my favorite things.

One of the great things about kindergarten is that I am making some new friends. I love my new friend Marin. She is sweet and we have so much fun together. Marin came over for a play date and we made an art gallery in our downstairs. FUN!

At the end of October, my family came to visit!  Nothing could make me happier.  They stayed for Halloween and helped me celebrate my birthday. We had a costume party and everyone got dressed up.  It was an extra treat that Lea and her family came from Maine and they got to meet my family.  We all had a great time.    I hated to see them go but I knew it wouldn't be long before I would see them again.....

Just a few weeks later, it was our turn to travel.  We made our annual trip back to California to enjoy the holidays with the family.  It was worth the 13 hours of travel of driving, then 3 planes, then driving some more, to be able to see everybody.

Even though I enjoyed vacation, I didn't mind going back to school because I love kindergarten.  When mommy asks me what I love about it, I tell her, "everything!".  Mommy started a new job in January.  She's super-uper happy!  Me too.

In February, we went on a trip to Mexico on a big cruise boat.  Mexico was so warm and I could wear shorts and dresses all the time.  We also got to go to Legoland and Disneyland. I loved all of it!

I like so many of the kids in my kindergarten class.  Johnny is a special friend.  He is kind and a lot of fun.

My mommy has to travel more in her new job and I miss her when she is gone.  But me and daddy do good and my daddy takes good care of me.  I wrote this in my journal because I was thinking of my mommy.......

Well, it's April already and I can't believe that I have only 2 1/2 months left until the end of kindergarten!   I hope to post a little bit more often.  Signing off for now, thanks for reading. And here's a few real photos so you can see how big I'm getting!

What a great post on your blog. I can finally see if because Beijing does not allow "blogger" into their country.

You are getting so big. I love your journal entries. I know your mommy will keep them for a long time.

Can't wait to see you again.

Love,
Auntie Sharon
