Pomp and Circumstance: I march boldly into Kindergarten!

Last week I finished up at my pre-school to get ready for kindergarten. I will miss all of my friends that I've made over the past 3 years. We celebrated our "graduation" with mommy's homemade chocolate cupcakes for both lunch and break (the teachers let us run around outside A LOT that day!!). Here's a picture of my last pre-school morning and me with my friends.

My teacher visits me at home
My new teacher is very nice and she even came to visit me at home one night last week.  I showed her my room and my art center, and she was quite impressed with my self portraits.  Seeing her last week made it really easy to go to kindergarten this morning.

Kindergarten!
I was ready to go first thing this morning, having picked out my outfit the night before.  Me and mommy had my new froggie lunchbox and backpack all ready to go.  When I got to the schoolyard, I ran to my teacher and she introduced me to some of the other new kids.  I wasn't scared at all.  Mommy didn't do a lot of boo-hooing that I was afraid she would do, but I think I saw a little wetness in her eyes!  Don't cry mommy, I am fine.

Here are some pictures from my first day.

My first day of kindergarten!

I think I'm really going to like kindergarten and guess what? I get to take the bus tomorrow!   Mommy says she won't follow behind the bus too close.......
Thanks for visiting my blog.  Stay tuned for a report on my bus experience and gym class!

Hi Hui-Hui -

You are such a big girl now. You look very mature in your pretty dress for your first day of school. I like your froggy lunchbox too ... so cute. I'm glad you are having a good time at school ... there are more fun times to come too!!! Have fun.

See you in a few months.

Love,
Auntie Sharon
