Hui-Hui: The Budding Artist!

Hui-Hui proudly shows off the picture she drew of "my silly uncle".

(This first blog post of 2011 is written by my mommy.)

Happy new year, everybody. So long between blog posts.....sigh, where does the time go??

Since the last post, Hui-Hui had her 5th birthday, graduated from kiddy rides to roller coast and water rides at Storyland, and enjoyed her 4th Christmas as part of our family.

Oh, how our little girl is growing! At her 5 year old doctor appointment, she measured in at just under the 50th percentile in height and weight. Tremendous progress from the 5th percentile readings when she first came home.

And she's growing not only physically but developmentally as well. We think she is on the verge of reading, showing a real interest in all-things-letters. We don't think we'll be getting away with spelling out our "not-for-Hui-Hui's-ears" comments for much longer!

She continues her love of music, singing and dancing. She started two new dance classes this month, tap dance and creative movement, and loves both.

Her interest in art, in all forms, is blossoming and I'll use this post to show you some of her work. She likes drawing, clay/playdoh work, and photography (she got a digital camera for her 5th birthday).

Is it just that I'm a proud mother or are these really good? Either way, I hope you enjoy looking at them.

Next blog post will likely be after our winter reunion in FL with Lily and Lea. We can't wait to see them in a few short weeks.
Thanks for following Hui-Hui's progress.
Love,
Cindy
