....we found out a little girl named She Zhi Hui was waiting for us in China. She had been waiting for us for 17 months, almost exactly the same amount of time we had been waiting to hear from China. Our lives would never be the same..... That evening, we saw Hui-Hui's precious face for the first time in an email. Our hearts would never be the same......
For almost seven days after the referral, we had Hui-Hui's sketchy China medical record and the 3 photos we had of her "examined" by pediatricans and adoption specialists. Their reports were she appeared developmentally delayed, quite a bit behind her age. We were worried. Our sense of control would never be the same.....
For several weeks, we packed and re-packed for the three weeks we would spend in China. Our "carry-on only travel policy" would never be the same.....
The past four years have sped by and our little sweetie is continuing to grow and develop well, is a fun loving, happy bundle of joy. We love her to bits but we do wish we could hit the slow time button a bit. Our concept of time will never be the same.... Here are a few recent pictures of Hui-Hui....we don't think we're biased when we say this kiddo is beautiful! We love you, Hui-Hui! Love, Mommy and Daddy

A special day indeed! True love conquers all...even daunting trips across the globe :)

Happy Anniversary of "the call" day. I remember that day ... I missed the call because I was in the doctor's office with bronchitis!!!
We will see you in a few short weeks.
Love,
Auntie Sharon
