We've been very busy since coming home from California a month ago. But being busy doesn't mean you can't have fun! We've had plenty of that and have thoroughly enjoyed seeing our little girl grow and develop over the past few weeks.
Opening presents is fun!
Hui-Hui continues to receive cards and gifts in the mail from friends and family. Thanks so much! Here are a few of our favorite shots of her gift opening/showing off since coming home.
Our sweet friend Robyn knitted this sherbet blankie. Hui-Hui is saying "oooo, so soft".

A complete Nordie's ensemble from our friend Tim.
Cornish Fair and Friends Fun!
Every August we experience a classic old-fashioned country fair right here in Cornish. It was extra special this year seeing it through Hui-Hui's eyes. While at the fair, Hui-Hui met up with a big sister from China, Della. Della lives right here in Cornish, just a few minutes away. Hui-Hui also had a play date with Emma, who lives in nearby Hanover and is only 4 months older than she is. They had fun playing with colorful popup puppets, pretending in Emma's well-stocked kitchen and drawing. We've promised to get the girls together often! Here are some shots of the fair and Hui-Hui's new friends.
I'm not so sure about being so close to this big cow.......
Hui-Hui sharing (willingly, I think...) her popup puppet with Emma.
Being outside is fun now!
Remember that Hui-Hui had some difficulty being outside in the sun? Well, no more! It must have been all that wonderful sunshine experience in California, but this gal loves being outside now. Here are a few shots of her enjoying summer playing with water, in her sandbox and at an outdoor flea market (of course!).
I'm helping Grandpa Johnson have fun!
At the end of August, Paul's dad, Harold, moved from California to live with us in NH. Hui-Hui is bringing dad happiness by enthusiastically waving/greeting him at the meal table, entertraining him with her antics and expressions, keeping him company while he watches TV, and, unprovoked, pat-pating and gently touching her grandpa. Well, that'll sure keep the spirits up! Here's a picture with grandpa in a sweet moment.
Furniture shopping is fun- I found what I want!
We were out furniture shopping for Harold when Hui-Hui happened upon a peanut-sized couch. She tried it on for size and, if she could talk she would have said, "I found it! Can I have it, huh, can I???" Here she is singing a song on the couch right in the middle of the furniture store.
Well, that's it for this time. Next post: walking (!), climbing (!!) and music class (!!!).
Thanks for watching.
Love,
P, C & HH
