Select the correct answer to the question: What does CP have to do with Hui-Hui?
a) Charm and personality
b) Chinese princess
c) Chicken Pox
d) All of the above
Yes, (d) is the correct answer!
Our little full of charm and personality chinese princess came down with chicken pox this week. Poor thing, chicken pox is no fun! She has been pretty miserable with fever and itchy-itchy-itchy, but it has started to improve within the past 24 hours. No pictures of the chicken pox Hui-Hui, because it's too gross, but imagine the above all over her little body.
Before she got sick, we had a good few days. Hui-Hui started to eat with a spoon (sort of), we enjoyed our traditional June lobster dinner with the new addition of chocolate pudding, and we had some fun outings.
Eating with a spoon is fun, though about half of it it gets on the face and half in the mouth. Here she is with her first experience eating her peaches with utensils.

Hui-Hui must not have spent much time outside because the sun bothers her quite a bit. In spite of that, she does like little road trips, as evidenced by the pictures of the happy girl in her carseat.

June has always been our month for lobster. This is usually a treat we give ourselves around Paul's birthday, on the coast of Maine. This year we started a new tradition: Find the biggest lobster we can, cook it at home, and add chocolate pudding to the menu. The below picture is not an optical illusion - - - that is the size of the lobster and that is pudding all over Hui-Hui's face!

Hui-Hui is a great imitator and it's a real game for her to learn a new gesture and then do it over and over (and over and over) again! We're trying to stick to the "charming" gestures...... One that cracks us up is after she drinks her Yo-Baby (drinkable yogurt) or any other drink, she tilts her head back and goes "ahhhhhh", as is "ahhhhh, that hits the spot". Paul captured some shots of her during her morning Yo-Baby ritual. What a hambone.
Thanks for watching.

OMG ... what kind of king kong lobster did you buy. Was it alive when you bought it??? Scary. I'm glad Hui-Hui is feeling "less itchy" now. I have enjoyed talking to her on the phone ... she's got quite the personality. Can't wait to see you guys in a month.

I just checked the calender and realized I have two weeks left before I see Hui Hui and the excitement is definitely building. I got my camera exchanged and I've been having so much fun playing with it and getting used to it. I wanna be ready for her arrival hehe. Hope your feeling better my princess...chicken pox are icky. The good thing is once you have them chances are you won't get them again. Take care and tell mommy and daddy to let you call me again hehe.
